Lewis sets Evian Master pace

Stacy Lewis leads by two after a course-record equalling, nine-under 63 in the opening round of the Evian Masters.

The American prospered in the searing heat as she reeled off seven consecutive birdies in a mid-round burst that swept her to the top of the leaderboard.
The 27-year-old, winner of last year's Kraft Nabisco Championship, then capped a flawless round with further birdies at the 17th and 18th to go two clear of Hee Young Park.
The Korean recovered from a bogey at the fourth with birdies at six of the next seven holes, and she picked up further shots at 16 and 18 to pip compatriot Ilhee Lee for outright second.
Lee also picked up six shots in seven holes around the turn, while Japan's Mika Miyazato and Colombian Mariajo Uribe returned six-birdie 67s.

Showdown, Week 30: Hunter Mahan vs. Brandt Snedeker

Brandt Snedeker / Getty Images

So in an attempt to inject a bit more life and interest into tournaments, and because we're all inveterate gamblers who are one bad card from being out on the streets, Jay Busbee and I are playing a golf version of a football suicide pool: We each pick one golfer per tournament and see how they do against each other, straight up. Victory over the other guy gets one point, victory in the tournament gets three points, and a tie lands you half a point. (Double for the majors.) And when we burn a golfer, he's done for the year. We turn our attention to the RBC Canadian Open.
Wall: This feels like a good spot to take Hunter Mahan, who already has two wins this season and hasn't finished outside the top-20 in his last three starts. Plus, Hamilton Golf and Country Club is a tight track where hitting fairways and greens is a must. He currently leads the PGA Tour in ball-striking, ranks ninth in driving accuracy and third in greens in regulation. I think this course should be right in his wheelhouse.
Busbee: I'm taking Brandt Snedeker. I've got a feeling the kid's got a bit of game in him, and he's going to bust out big one of these days ... what? Why are you laughing at me? Nah, of course, after his almost-breakout performance at Royal Lytham, he's primed for a solid followup, and I think he'll have it this week at the RBC Canadian. Unlike Adam Scott, Snedeker fell apart early enough that he may be able to recover without therapy ... and that recovery starts this week.
Last week: Wall picked up two points (majors wins are worth double) last week with a T-3 fromTiger Woods at the British Open. Lee Westwood, Busbee's pick, didn't fare so well at Royal Lytham and St Annes, finishing T-45.
Current score: Wall - 9.0, Busbee - 8.0.

Golf-Stallings seals second tour win in True South

(Reuters) - Scott Stallings claimed his second career PGA Tour win with a two-stroke victory in the True South Classic in Madison, Mississippi on Sunday.

Stallings, 27, from Worcester, Massachusetts, shot a four-under par 68 in his fourth round to finish 24-under for the tournament, two strokes clear of Jason Bohn.

Birdies on the 16th and 17th were crucial to Stallings' victory which comes almost a year after his maiden win at the Greenbrier Classic and after he missed six weeks of his sophomore season with a torn rib cartilage.

"To be able to be up here after the year I have had with injuries is pretty special," said Stallings, whose win came in a week where he found out his wife Jennifer is pregnant with their first child.

Stallings was remarkably consistent throughout in the badly rain-affected tournament and it wasn't until the 14th hole that he made his first bogey since the first round, to allow Bohn to move within a stroke.

The rain delays over the past three days at Annandale Golf Cclub meant players had to start early to finish their third rounds in the morning and then played in groups of three in the final round.

But while that meant spectators were treated to watching the top three compete directly, Stallings never lost his grip.

"We just couldn't put enough pressure on him," said Bohn, who carded a five-under 67 to claim his fourth runners-up finish of his career

"He made the putts when he needed to make the putts, he hit the ball fantastically well," said Billy Horschel whose third place was the best finish of his career. (Reporting By Simon Evans; Editing by John Mehaffey)

Incredible Hulk slot Games

The objective of the Incredible Hulk is to obtain winning symbol combinations by spinning the reels.

TO PLAY THE GAME

  • A wagering denomination (coin value) can be chosen by clicking the Click to Change denomination button in the lower left-hand corner of the screen.
  • Line bets are chosen by clicking Bet per Line. Each click adds a coin to the line bet. When the maximum amount is reached (10 coins of the selected wagering denomination), clicking the button again resets the line bet to one coin.
  • Paylines are chosen by clicking Lines. Each click activates a payline. When all paylines are activated, clicking the button again resets it to one active payline. Paylines can also be activated by using the numbered buttons on either side of the reels. Selecting a high payline includes all the lower ones too. For example, selecting payline 6 also activates paylines 1 through 5. Clicking Bet Max activates all paylines with the maximum bet per line and spins the reels.
  • Total bet per game round = line bet X active paylines.
  • Clicking Spin spins the reels with the current selection of lines and line bets. During the reel spins the Spin button changes into Stop. Clicking Stop ends the spin animation and immediately displays the spin result.
  • Reels can also be spun using the Auto Start function. Clicking + or – above Auto Start selects the successive number of spins to be enabled. Clicking Auto Start spins the reels. The Auto Start button changes into Stop during the Auto Start mode of reelspin. The Auto Start mode ends when the reels have been spun the number of times determined by the player, or when the player clicks Stop.
  • Wins are calculated according to the paytable. Line win = line bet X corresponding multiplier according to the paytable. Scatter win = total bet X corresponding multiplier according to the paytable. The paytable can be accessed via the Info page.
  • On a given payline, only the highest payline winning combination pays while simultaneous winnings on different paylines are added up together.
  • In case of a winning spin, the Win field displays the accumulating winnings. The win ticker can be stopped by clicking anywhere on the screen.
  • Payline wins and the total win are also displayed on the black strip located at the bottom of the game window.

4 Attention Grabbing Activities That Distract Online Casino Gaming

Urgent phone calls
You are in the middle of an intense and winning live blackjack battle when all of a sudden, you receive an urgent call from someone very important—how frustrating can it get? Indeed, there are instances where certain phone calls consume time. Yet, as mentioned, if it is an urgent one, set aside all your hang-ups and answer the call. At any rate, online casinos will not leave. You can still play and comeback to them anytime you want. You do not want to miss that important message over an exciting game.

Unexpected visitors
Unexpected visitors may also interfere with your gaming sessions and compared to the former, they demand more attention. Nevertheless, be glad that somebody paid you a visit. Take some time out and bond with them.

Chat buddies
Chatting is a major online activity. This can be attributed to the individual’s need to communicate and interact. Yet, admit it, this may also distract you. Since there is also a chat option in the casino client, sometimes, this too can prevent you from fully concentrating in the game.

Web surfing
If you are the type of player who play and surf at the same time, you may not notice it, but web surfing can be distracting as well.

The social media mania
Social media sites have already overpowered chatting. More and more people are now talking via their social media accounts than in messaging systems. While playing in online casinos, it cannot be denied that surfing social media sites may also prevent you from playing continuously.

A double-edged sword
On one hand, the above-mentioned distractions may prevent or hamper you from winning since you cannot concentrate.

Nevertheless, if you think about it, these things have a good side too. Because of them, studies have revealed that online casino players are less likely to develop addiction and stick to the idea that online casino gaming is a simple and enjoyable diversion.

Can Lee Westwood win the Le Golf National?

The best in the world are again going to fight it out at the Alstom Open de France. One of the toughest and the most deserving players in the tournament is Lee Westwood.
The 39-year-old is looking for another win on the European soil. Now, he is ready to go against the best in the world at one of the toughest courses of the European Tour, the Le Golf National.
Westwood bagged his 22nd European Tour victory in the Nordea Masters. The event took place in Sweden, one month ago, and Westwood is back again with same determination to win the title, this time in France.
The Englishman has a quiet remarkable record at the Alstom Open de France. Till now he has made nine appearances and out of these nine appearances, he finished in the top-ten four times. The golf course seems to be very lucky for him.
The closest he has ever been to winning the title was at Le Golf National in 2009. In that match, he lost to Germany’s Martin Kaymer in a play-off.
Westwood will be joined by Kaymer and four others (Justin Rose, Graeme McDowell, Swede Peter Hanson and Spaniard Gonzalo Fernandez-CastaƱo) for the French Open.
Lee Westwood is one of the best golfers in the world. Over the years he has proved himself to be one of the best on the course.
Westwood stayed at the number one spot for 22 weeks. Then, it was time for someone else to claim the rank of the world’s number one. Currently, Westwood is at number 3 in the world ranking.
Till now Westwood has been very consistent about his game. He has delivered every time and has never disappointed his fans.
He has a bit of bad luck in the majors, as he has not won any major till now. The closest he got was in the year 2010, when he finished second in two major championships.
Westwood finished 2nd in the year 2010, in both Masters Tournament and The Open Championship.
In the years 2008 and 2011, he finished 3rd in The U.S Open and he finished tied 3rd in the year 2009 at the PGA Championship.
The analysts are certain that Westwood still has a long way to go. He can still win a few more titles and in any tournament, he is not to be taken lightly. He is always a strong contender for any title.
Keeping all the facts in mind, one cannot ignore the performance of Westwood and he has been very close on numerous events. He might have been unlucky previously, nonetheless he could still win the Alstom Open de France.
Who is going to be the Champion this year? Who is going to emerge as the best? Till now nothing for sure can be said. One can only wait till the French Open starts.

Pick Poulter for Open de France

This week's European Tour event is one of my favourites on the calendar, the Open de France at Le Golf National.
Chief reason for that is the golf course, a stunning par-71 designed by Hubert Chesnaeu with advice from Robert Van Hagge, one whose quality has been rewarded with the 2018 Ryder Cup.
Add in a stellar line-up of players who recognise the importance of this event in terms of both prestige and its position on the calendar, and four days of high-class sport are in prospect.
The layout itself is exactly what a modern Ryder Cup venue should be. It's a fair test in terms of length, the rough is penal, several greens are guarded by water and, crucially, it provides a grandstand finish.
Holes 15, 16, 17 and 18 are this course's chief defence, notably 15 and 18 which played as the toughest holes last year and may well do so once more. Tournament director David Probyn told the European Tour's official website that playing the final holes well will prove crucial.
"The final four holes here are as tough a closing stretch as you will ever see with water a really big feature throughout," said Probyn. "Level par for these four holes will always be a great finish and the players this week will be eager to avoid the big scores that are frequently seen on the 15th and 18th."
When asked what skills would be required this week, he added: "Accurate driving; with firm greens missing the fairway will really be a penalty. And of course getting through 15-18 four days in a row without disaster will be key."

Despite his comments, forecast showers, coupled with an extremely wet June, may mean these greens are more receptive than last year. Indeed, former champion Miguel Angel Jimenez reckons they're good greens to attack providing you're in the fairway, so expect the winner this week to have controlled his ball off the tee - no easy task on a wind-exposed layout.
Last year's event provided a fairytale finish, as Thomas Levet came from off the pace to deny rising star Thorbjorn Olesen, with England's Mark Foster also just behind. The winning score of 277 was the highest since 2007, but in the conditions I'd expect something in the region of -11 to be competitive this time around.
It's worth noting that as well as driving the ball straight, stats suggest that hitting greens and scrambling are crucial.
In the last eight renewals, the leader in greens in regulation for the week has finished in the top 10 seven times, winning twice and finishing no worse than fifth in each of the last three years.
In that same eight-year time-frame, the leader in scrambling has won three times. To me that makes sense and points to ball-strikers, whose misses aren't as severe as those who lack control of their golf ball, which makes scrambling easier.

Put all of this together and top of my list is Ian Poulter.
The Englishman is enjoying a solid year after a modest start, and is now on an active streak of 16 cuts made. His last European Tour start produced a personal-best finish at Wentworth, while top-10s at Bay Hill and Augusta also suggested his winning turn may be close.
There are few better venues for him to get over the line than here at Le Golf National, where his form figures since 2004 read: 14-DNP-3-9-30-3-18-DNP.
Back in 2009 he improved throughout the tournament to finish three shots behind the winner and impressed with his ball-striking, ranking third for both fairways and greens hit, and given that he ranks third and fifth respectively this season, it's reasonable to expect a similar display tee-to-green this week.
Around the greens, there are few better. Poulter ranks just 156th in scrambling on the European Tour but that's taken from limited starts and clearly isn't a reflection of his ability. Instead, it should pay to focus on his seventh in the similar PGA Tour list, and we can expect him to get up-and-down when he does fail to find the green.
We all know Poulter as a matchplay specialist but he's won no fewer than nine strokeplay events on the European Tour, in events that require a flurry of birdies and those that develop into a grind.
He will be determined to play well at a future Ryder Cup venue given how much that event means to him and perhaps that's why he's playing here and not in next week's Scottish Open.
Indeed, he also missed last week's Irish Open to underline just how much he enjoys this tournament, and Poulter can build up to the Open Championship in perfect style.
Second on my list is another man for whom missing cuts is a shock, and that man is Francesco Molinari.
Indeed, the Italian had gone 20 events without missing the weekend prior to doing so in the Players' Championship, but as that came just days after his win in the Open de Espana it's a performance we can forgive.
The reason Molinari is so consistent is that he's among the best ball-strikers in the world. He currently sits fourth for greens in regulation and 22nd in driving accuracy on the European Tour, while it's a perhaps surprising bonus that he's 19th in scrambling - that's again an indication that his misses aren't severe.
It's perhaps not a surprise, given his strengths, that he's gone close here before. Back in 2010, Molinari defied a double-bogey on the first hole of his final round to force a play-off with Miguel Angel Jimenez and Alejandro Canizares, holing a superb putt in that play-off only to be denied by a similar effort from Jimenez.
Impressively, Francesco led the field in fairways and greens hit for the week, so this is clearly a course that fits his eye, and it's fair to argue that he's never arrived in better form.
The 29-year-old has played 14 events in 2012, finishing in the top-30 no less than 11 times, one of which was that victory in Spain.
Last week he tied for 10th in Ireland, again ranking in the top five for both fairways and greens hit while scambling successfully over 60 per cent of the time, so his game remains in fine shape.
His consistency tee-to-green is exactly what's needed throughout the week at Le Golf National, and Molinari looks ready to take the next step in his career by becoming a multiple winner this season.
The other man I want on-side at the head of the market is Martin Kaymer, whose record here is second to none.
As well as beating Lee Westwood in a 2009 play-off, Kaymer finished seventh on his 2007 debut, sixth in 2010 and fourth last year, while he also shares the course record thanks to an incredible 62 on his way to the title three years ago.
Indeed, we can also explain away his missed cut as it came just a week after an emotional victory in the BMW International Open on home soil, and while he's since shown he can win back-to-back events, at the time he'd struggled immediatedly after a victory.
It's fair to say that Kaymer hasn't quite been at his best this season, but when your best is winning four events including a Major as he did in 2010, it's always going to be hard to maintain that level.
Recently, signs are that his game is on the up. Kaymer missed the cut in the BMW International Open last time but prior to that had finished 15th in the US Open, 15th in the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth and 15th in the Players' Championship too.Go back further and he made the cut for the first time in the Masters, so although he's yet to seriously threaten to win in 2012 that could well change at this venue, one that suits him to a tee.
Looking to those at bigger prices, there are a few who make obvious appeal. Both Foster and Anthony Wall played superbly in Ireland and have previous here, but they really struggle to get over the line and at 55/1 and 80s respectively I'm not convinced either rates as value.
Olesen took to the course last year and could go close but he's just a few points bigger than Poulter which underlines the lack of juice in his price, while course-specialist Richard Green hasn't done enough to convince me he's ready to contend at present.
James Morrison is a three-figure poke worth considering given his form here and excellent driving, Richie Ramsay played much better last time and has few peers when it comes to hitting fairways and greens, while Simon Khan can also go well at a price.
However, completing my outright staking plan is Marcus Fraser, who surely shouldn't be 80/1 given the way he's played all season.
The Australian has finished in the top six in three of his last six events, including when losing a lengthy play-off to Danny Willett in the BMW International Open last time out.
Fraser is finally free of injury troubles which have held him back for some time, and it's really showing in his game as he currently sits 15th in the Race To Dubai standings.
He ranks a respectable 32nd in fairways hit this season and an impressive second in putts per round, and although his record here is hit-and-miss he did finish third in 2007.
That performance came on the back of a barren run that included four missed cuts in five events, and I see no reason why this two-time European Tour winner can't get straight back on the bike after a week off considering the state of his game at present.
Finally, I'm going to dip into the top Frenchman betting and side with Victor Dubuisson, who leads the European Tour's greens-in-regulation statistics.
A supremely talented player, Dubuisson hasn't finished outside the top 30 since March, a period of five events that also includes two top-fives.
He was in nothing like this sort of form when finishing just outside the top 50 here last year, nor was he when also making the weekend in 2010, but he has got a round of 66 under the belt to show he can score at the course.
Ultimately there wasn't quite enough in his profile to suggest that he's a bet at 80/1, but with doubts about most of his compatriots I reckon he's worth a bet at 7s to be the best of the home contingent.

Tiger Woods at AT&T National 2012 Tracker: Day 4 Updates and Analysis

Tiger Woods shot a four-under-par 67 on Saturday to move to just one shot behind the tournament leader, Brendon de Jonge.
Tiger will be in the last group off at 1:15 p.m. ET with De Jonge and Bo Van Pelt.
Bleacher Report will follow Tiger's attempt to win his third title in 2012 with continuous updates throughout his round today.

Blog has not been active within the past two hours.

No. 18 is a 523 yard downhill par-4.  Drives into the fairway will bound down the fairway and leave short iron shots into the green.
The peninsula green juts out into the lake and the pin is at the extreme back left for the final round.
Tiger was able to make his par at No. 18 and Bo Van Pelt made his third consecutive bogey to give Woods the win.
It is Tiger's third win of the year and will move him into the No. 1 spot on the FedEx Cup Standings.
This was a good win on a very tough golf course.
Tiger still has some things to sort out with his driver and his short game but his putting seems to be improving.
This win sets him up nicely heading into the Open Championship later this month.
Tiger will play next week at the Greenbrier Classic before heading over to Royal Lytham.

Players must lay up from the tee on No. 17.
Tiger has found the intermediate cut just off the right side of the 17th fairway.
He is hitting 8-iron from 172 yards and just got it onto the front part of the green.
Bo found the left rough and flew his approach shot well over the green at No. 17.
He was not able to get up and down and made a bogey.
Tiger had nearly 70 feet for his first putt and was able to make a two putt par.
Tiger will take a one shot lead into the final hole.

Par-5 No. 16 at 579 yards is the easiest hole on the course.
Bo went first and hit a 335 yard drive into the left side of the fairway.  He will have an easy second to the green.
Tiger has missed another fairway in the left rough. It will depend totally on the lie if he has a chance to reach the green in two.
He has 267 yards to the green and is just laying up short of the bunkers that stretch back into the fairway from the green.
Van Pelt only has 240 to the hole and has chosen a 6-iron to land just short of the green.
He missed it slightly and found the bunker on the front left of the green.
Both players will be forced to get it up and down for their birdies.
Tiger flew his chip shot too far and his ball rolled completely over the green and down an 8' bank. Tiger is dead.
Bo chunked his chip from a bad lie and still had to chip onto the green.
Tiger had to make sure he got his chip onto the green and ran his chip shot well past the hole.
He missed his par putt and makes bogey.
Bo Van Pelt still has to make a 10 foot putt to save his par from the back of the green.
He missed also and both players bogey the easiest hole on the golf course.
5:37 PM ET
No 15 is just another 490 yard par-4 at Congressional.
The tree lined fairway has three bunkers on the right side.  The green is angled with deep bunkers across the front.
Both Tiger and Bo found the fairway and are on the green in regulation.
With just four holes remaining any mistake could be fatal.
Tiger was able to get a read from De Jonge and has 21 feet for his birdie.
Van Pelt will also get a good read from Tiger's putt.
The birdie putt dribbled into the front edge and Van Pelt will need to make his putt to remain tied for the lead.
Van Pelt made his birdie and they stay tied at -9 with just three holes left.
Good stuff at Congressional.
Van Pelt is playing with confidence and determination.
5:22 PM ET

Tiger hit the low stinging 3-wood from the tee and found the middle of the fairway approximately 280 yards out.
No. 14 is a 467 yard straight away par-4 surrounded by trees.
Tiger hit an 8-iron 181 yards uphill to pin high right of the pin and has yet another birdie putt.
Bo Van Pelt is also on the green in regulation but quite a bit farther away than Tiger.
Bo barely missed his right to left breaker and tapped in for his par.
Tiger's birdie putt came up short and he has just short of 3 feet to save his par.
He rolled that in and he will go to the 15th tee tied with Bo Van Pelt at -8.
5:00 PM ET
No. 13 is a 190 yard par-3 with bunkers guarding the front of the green.
Tiger hit a laser 8-iron just short of the pin and will have an uphill putt for birdie.
Bo Van Pelt hit 7-iron to the middle that released to the back of the green.
The 2012 AT&T National has come down to a showdown between Van Pelt and Woods.
Who will blink first?
Bo makes his two putt par.
Tiger has 13 feet for birdie which he missed left yielding another par.
4:48 PM ET
No. 12 is a slight dog leg left 470 yard par-4.
Tiger chose 3-wood from the tee and pulled it left into the trees.
He is at the base of a tree and will have a difficult shot to even get back into the fairway for his next shot.
Tiger may have just pulled off the shot of the tournament!!
He was able to take a full swing with his 9-iron before it banged into the tree trunk.
The ball tracked right at the flag and the result is just another Ho-Hum Green in Regulation for Tiger.
Middle of the fairway is highly overrated. Right!
Driving the golf ball continues to be an adventure for Tiger, however.
He must find some fairways coming down the stretch.
Tiger and Bo Van Pelt both made their pars at No. 12 and move to 13.

Tiger had only 95 yards left to the hole but a very poor lie in the thick rough.
He did find the green with his second but will have a long putt for birdie.
De Jonge split the fairway with his drive and flipped a nice wedge shot into the green for a makeable  birdie opportunity.
Tiger ran his putt to within 6" and tapped in for a par.
De Jonge was not able to get his birdie to fall and his lead will remain at one shot.
12:35 PM ET
The severe storms that swept through the Washington D. C. area on Friday night forced PGA Tour officials to close the golf course to spectators for Saturday's third round.
AT&T National is allowing Saturday ticket holders entrance to Sunday's final round.
The crowd should be loud and boisterous following Woods today.
If Tiger could get his third win of 2012 today it would be the 12th time in his career that he has had three or more wins in one PGA Tour season.
Tiger will tee off with tournament leader Brendon de Jonge and Bo Van Pelt at 1:15 pm.

Tiger Woods began this return to the top of the golf world last fall in Australia.
He had a sold third place finish at the Australian Open the week prior to the Presidents Cup Matches that were held at Royal Melbourne.
Upon his return to the states in early December, he won his own small field invitational the Chevron World Challenge.
Even though Tiger has not quite returned to the dominating style of play that he exhibited prior to 2010, he has had two wins thus far in 2012.
He won the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March and the Memorial in June.
Both Bay Hill and Muirfield Village require a player be in command of every aspect of his game to perform well.
He has won over $3 million this year, is No. 4 in the FedEx Cup rankings and in the Official World Golf Rankings.
Tiger did have lapses a T-40 at the Masters, a missed cut at the Wells Fargo, and another T-40 at the Players announced to the world that Tiger had not quite returned to his previous dominating style of play.
If he could pick up a win here at Congressional another demanding golf course it would give him positive feedback and set him up well with the Open Championship, the PGA Championship and the FedEx Cup Playoffs in the near future to round out the year.
