THE LATEST UEFA ENGLISH PREMIER
LEAGUE NEWS – Chelsea captain and defender John Terry would not be able to play
for the side in the coming weeks, according to an official statement of the
club.
Terry’s knee injury brought forth
suspicion that he might stay on the sidelines for months, but medical results
show that he has not sustained any “significant damage” on his cruciate
ligament.
The injury cut short Terry’s return
to the club following his four-match ban. He scored Chelsea’s lone goal in
their match against Liverpool on Sunday, after which he injured his knee after
colliding with Luis Suarez. The Blues did not win w1th ease against their
visitors, drawing 1-1 in the game instead.
