Watson ahead by three

Bubba Watson extended his lead to three shots at the Cadillac Championship following the third round of the tournament on Saturday.

After a superb 62 on Friday, Watson led by a stroke from Justin Rose, but his five-under 67 on the third day was enough for him to move clear at the top, on seventeen-under overall.Rose dropped into a share of second place alongside Keegan Bradley after a 69, but the Englishman is relatively confident ahead of the final round.

"Three back, it's a lot to Bubba on this golf course," he said. "But at least there's not a lot of guys ahead of you. There's only one guy at 17 under, and the rest of the pack is right there, so it doesn't take much

Rory McIlroy shares eighth place with a number of others, including Tiger Woods, after a fine 65 on Saturday. It could have been even better for the world number one, however, who was nine-under for his round after 12 holes, before striking bogeys on the 14th and 16th.

"You're thinking four (birdies) of the last six and here we go," McIlroy said, dreaming of the course record at TPC Blue Monster. "But obviously, it didn't happen like that." - http://www.setanta.com/
